《白宮風云第三季》劇情簡介：Season 3: 2001–2002 Cast: Rob Lowe,  Stockard Channing, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, John Spencer, Bradley Whitford and Martin Sheen The third season, which covers the administration&amp;#39;s third and fourth years in office, starts off with Bartlet announcing his intention to run for reelection and is heavily devoted to the upcoming presidential election. Other prominent plotlines include Congressional investigations into whether Bartlet committed electoral fraud by concealing his MS,  a death threat against C.J. and the ensuing relationship she develops with a Secret Service agent assigned to her, the Qumari defense minister Abdul Shareef plotting terrorist attacks against the US, and a troubling meeting between Toby and the President that leaves Bartlet with a bout of insomnia in &quot;Night Five.&quot; The season finale, "Posse Comitatus&amp;quot; closes several of these storylines as Bartlet meets his opponent in the elections and reaffirms his commitment to beat him. The episode ends with the president finally deciding to order Shareef&amp;#39;s assassination (a legally questionable act) and C.J.'s agent&amp;#39;s murder, just after the man threatening C.J. was caught. From a critical perspective,  series creator Aaron Sorkin acknowledged in October 2002 that the terrorism-related plots designed to keep the series relevant after the real-life 9/11 attacks were awkward at times, saying "from week to week, you felt like you were writing the show handcuffed, a little bit. I didn&#39;t know how to write it anymore. It was a constant search for what I wasn't doing that used to make the show work.
